Side crunches

The side crunch like the abdominal crunch is used to strengthen the midsection of the body. The muscles being worked are the internal and external obliques which help rotate the body to the left and the right. These muscles also assist in spine stabilization, translating to better balance, spinning and total performance.

The Details
1. Lying on back, knees bent 90 degrees hands clasped behind neck.
2. Lift and rotate left side of body slightly to the right.
3. Lower and repeat to opposite side.
BEGINNERS NOTE
Torso strength is key! Help out your spine by strengthening these muscles. It's no fun riding with a sore back!
